HAEGARDA OFFERS THE FREEDOM OF SUBCUTANEOUS SELF-ADMINISTRATION

THE OPTION TO INJECT IN SEVERAL PLACES ON YOUR BODY

You can self-administer in your abdomen, or anywhere it’s appropriate to give a subcutaneous injection, such as your upper arms and thighs.

Let a specially trained HAEGARDA nurse help

helps keep your C1-INH levels steady

Because you take it by a subcutaneous injection, HAEGARDA is absorbed and processed slowly. That means a steady, effective level of C1-INH stays in your system between doses.

HAEGARDA is a therapy you can administer yourself*

It’s given just under the skin twice a week (every 3 to 4 days) as prescribed by your doctor. Taking HAEGARDA yourself means you choose the time and place that works best for you.

Dosing individualized for you

Your HAEGARDA dose is based on your body weight so that your therapy is individualized to you.

YOUR DOCTOR WILL PRESCRIBE AN INDIVIDUALIZED DOSE BASED ON YOUR WEIGHT

In clinical studies, the most common side effects reported with HAEGARDA were injection-site reactions (pain, redness, swelling), hypersensitivity (itching and rash), dizziness, and nasal symptoms, including stuffy or runny nose and sneezing. These are not the only side effects possible with HAEGARDA.

FREEDOM WITH HAEGARDA

HAEGARDA can travel with you anywhere you go

With HAEGARDA, you have the freedom to set up a dosing schedule that fits into your routine. And because you can store it at room temperature, it doesn’t need to be refrigerated.

A note about storing HAEGARDA

HAEGARDA can be stored up to 30°C (86°F). Keep HAEGARDA in the original carton to protect it from light until ready for use. Do not freeze.

What to expect when you start HAEGARDA

HAEGARDA starts raising your C1-INH levels right away, after your first dose. It may take 3 to 4 doses of HAEGARDA (or a couple of weeks) for your C1-INH levels to stabilize. While your levels are being stabilized, it is important to work with your doctor. Always be prepared with on-demand rescue therapy in case of any breakthrough attacks.
